M.I.A Field Trip
It's my first official autumn 17' look on the blog let's go!! Ok well I'm writing this in the morning currently so I'll settle down but I'm very excited to share this look. I truly incorporated my favorite new pieces from my closet for this field trip to The Minneapolis Institute of Art (M.I.A).
Embroidery has clearly been something seen around in street style and on the runways and I geeked when I found these boots at a thrift shop in uptown this past summer, called Buffalo Exchange. Ok yes and I swear to God they were only $40 so..... thanks to not only God but Jesus (referring to Justin Bieber's acceptance speech at the 2011 VMA's thank you very much). Another piece I honestly wear at least twice a week are the Adidas trainer pants. Honestly I'm kinda obsessed with them, I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the super cute fit or the fact that I love the sport soccer for various reasons (*wink *wink). I really thought it was a "Kardashian" thing to dress up sweatpants but I tbh dig it and I guess now I can that it wasn't just the Kardashian's I've seen do this. Talking 'bout all the fellow fashion bloggers, bless us we can take the credit. I pulled out my silk cami, that I thought I would say goodbye to until SS18, to tuck in with these pants. I love this cami not only because it's very soft but it's extremely versatile as you can tell.... it can go with sweatpants... Lastly, the massive Topshop coat is free and ready to party. I can always count on this coat for giving me compliments because it's literally, and this is a quote from a fellow friend, "Better than life itself." Bold, yes, but not wrong.
I swear I had to draw this piece in one of my art classes before and I was about to tell my prof. I am no architect (although that would be cool) (I kinda am an architect though because of my 8 hour days of playing The Sims 3).
Ah yes, and behind me are all the fabulous paintings I have created. 50 million dollars for them all, please.
The piece behind me I like to title it "Waiting for My Man to Get His Butt Home". I think she needs a glass of red wine by her though to truly make it come together.
Here comes a selfie trio.
Love love, completely adore this piece. That full moon. The swift movement you can see from the couple. Ahh.
We heard opera music playing and I guess that made me turn into a ballerina for a sec. Can't take me anywhere.
Can you tell I'm trying to do the Beyonce at the art gallery pose?
My main man Van Gogh.
And then it was actually snowing snowing for the first time when we were leaving and it was so beautiful!! We blasted Justin Bieber's (my second JB reference in this blog post? Weird.) Christmas album in the car on the way back of course.
